The other pillar of our research activities is developing analytical tools to explore novel topics in environmental biogeochemistry. This includes techniques for sample preparation and analyte detection. We specialize in mass spectrometric techniques and other techniques (e.g., advanced spectrometry, electrochemistry).

At Trent University, we have access to a wide range of analytical techniques such as mass spectrometry (ICP-MS, HR ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS, Orbitrap, FTICR), IRMS, OES, AAS, Hg and C analyzer, IC, Voltammetry for ultra-trace elements, UV-Vis, 3D-Fluorescence.
