Toulon is my second hometown! I have lived in Toulon for nine years and have studied biogeochemistry in Toulon Bay system for at least five years; multiple sampling trips for surface water, river water, sediments, and biota as well.

The typical Mediterranean hydrological system (intermittent freshwater input and low tide); historical events (WWII) that Toulon has witnessed, have unfortunately largely polluted the ecosystem of this beautiful coastal area.
